About this tool

Transform & Filter is a lightweight CSV filter for quick column edits and row filtering. Pick one column and apply UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Trim Whitespace, or Trim & UPPERCASE, or filter rows with a case-insensitive search that keeps any row containing the value in any cell.

Who it is for

Useful for quick normalization jobs — for example, uppercasing a status column — and for narrowing a file to the rows you actually need before profiling or charting.

How to use it

Choose a CSV, TSV, or TXT file (up to 5 MB).
Select a column, choose a transform, and choose Apply Transform.
Type a filter value and choose Filter to keep only matching rows.
Export the result as CSV, or choose Clear to return to the full preview.

Common questions

How do I filter CSV rows online?

Load the file in Datio's Transform & Filter, type the value, and choose Filter. Matching is a case-insensitive substring search across every cell, so “berlin” keeps any row containing Berlin in any column. Export the filtered rows as CSV.

How do I uppercase a CSV column?

Select the column, choose UPPERCASE (or Trim & UPPERCASE to also strip padding), and choose Apply Transform. Lowercase, Title Case, and Trim Whitespace work the same way — one column at a time, previewed before export.

Can I filter by number ranges or combine conditions?

No — filtering is a simple contains-match on text, not numeric ranges, regex, or multi-condition queries. For whole-file fixes like deduplication and blank-row removal, use the CSV Cleaner instead.
